Stephanie Meyer returns to pen her premier novella
Yes, that’s right, all you adoring fans – or fanatics, rather. Right as you were beginning to grow restless and impatient, wondering if she would ever make her return and satisfy your burning curiosity, Stephenie Meyer breaks her silence with the announcement you’ve all been waiting for.
After a nearly two-year long hiatus (though at times it’s seemed much, much longer, hasn’t it?), the beloved author will release some new material, barely feeding our hungry appetites. No, really. Barely. Sadly the new book will not be a full-length addition to the “Twilight” series but rather a novella, which, for you uncultured types, is basically a fancy term for a “short story.” Exactly how short, you may ask? A solid 192 pages. Enough to *ahem* feed on, but not quite enough for complete satisfaction. Because that, of course, is how you keep your fans hungry for more (pun intended).
Now, for the tasty details. The novella, the aptly titled, “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner,” is about just that: Bree Tanner and her, well, short second life. Even for diehard fans, this name might not ring a bell upon first mention. To put it simply, Bree Tanner was a newborn vampire introduced at the tail end of “Eclipse”, who died nine pages later. Yep, poor girl wasn’t even worth an entire chapter. And if that’s not enough to jog your memory, she was one of the newborn vampires created by Victoria in order to exact her revenge on Bella and the Cullen family. Bree is captured and basically spills the beans about Victoria’s plans, hoping that the Cullens and/or the Volturi don’t kill her. Well, that obviously didn’t work out, ‘cause within the next five minutes, she’s dead on the ground with a broken neck. Yeah, ain’t that a happy ending? Anyway, that’s Bree Tanner in a nutshell.
Admittedly, this could be an interesting story. We’ve never found out firsthand what a newborn vampire’s life (or afterlife, or death, or…let’s just go with “existence”) is like. Of course it will be enlightening to see their side of the story through their creepy, red, glowing, bloodthirsty, cannibalistic eyes. And as “Twilight” fans – I use the term conservatively – we’ll pretty much take whatever we can get, right? Hecks yes.
So here’s the important stuff. Knowing most of Stephenie Meyer’s followers, it’s safe to assume that you, dear reader, clicked on this article and probably scrolled straight to this section to find out the stuff that matters. No, you don’t care what the book is about. No, no, none of that matters. All you care about is the who, what, where, when, why, how, whatever… So here’s that.
Who: Stephenie Meyer
What: New “Twilight” series novella, entitled, “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella”
When: The book goes on sale at 12:01 a.m. on June 5th, 2010.
Where: Anywhere books are sold, though I highly recommend your Wausau Barnes & Noble (nope, no bias here) which is currently accepting preorders for the book.
Why: If you’re truly a “Twilight” fan, you don’t even need a reason why
How: Money would be good. Most societies frown upon theft. So here’s the deal, you take the book to the cash register. You hand it to the kind employee. You watch them roll their eyes, and try not to notice, ‘cause if you pick a fight, it’s a one-way ticket to, well, not getting your book as fast as you would otherwise have. They tell you your total, which will be somewhere in the realm of $13.99 plus tax. You fork over the dough, take the book and sprint out of there before you even give them a chance to give you your change. Change? You don’t care about change. You just want your freaking book. Now read, you fool. Read. But seriously, that whole sitting-on-the-curb-right-outside-the-store-entrance thing is so played out. Wait till you get home. Please.
And just as an extra bit of information, $1 from each book purchased will be donated to the Red Cross international relief efforts (oh, the irony). Also, if you’re too cheap to go out and buy the dang book, it will be available free of charge from June 7th until July 5th at www.breetanner.com. But past evidence of “Twilight” fans obsessive antics will support the assumption that you will most definitely spring for a copy of the actual book, because 1) it looks so darn cool next to your other “Twilight” books. And your “Twilight” t-shirts. And your “Twilight” umbrella. And your “Twilight” pencils. And…well, we need not go into detail. And 2) because you are so not going to wait the extra 48 hours until it’s available online. No. No, you’re not. Don’t lie to yourself. Now go. Run like the wind. Your Edward Cullen lunchbox is getting lonely.

Pattison Fears the Day the Twilight Hype Dies Down
The 23-year-old, who attracts throngs of screaming fans wherever he goes thanks to his starring role in the vampire films, admitted: "If it suddenly dies down and suddenly no-one is interested ... yeah, it is worrying - it's scary to think that it all might just fundamentally stop after the Twilight thing's finished."
The actor, who is currently starring in drama Remember Me with Pierce Brosnan, added: "When I did Twilight, I had no idea it was going to be so big."
He went on: "I didn't know they were going to make the sequels afterward. ... But I don't really have any regrets about it. It's just, you can't. There's nothing you can do about it."
R-Patz also refused to say he could be classed as an Idol.
"I don't really know if I am [an idol]," he said. "It's still just the sort of character that people like a lot. I try and avoid promoting myself like that cause otherwise you end up with a huge burden of responsibility."

Twilight Saga Eclipse has different perspective
Although Twilight and New Moon stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will both be seen in separate films beyond the Twilight Saga in March, Stewart is already talking The Twilight Saga Eclipse ahead of its June 30 release. Kristen Stewart recently spoke with Reelz Channel about Eclipse while at the premiere of her latest film, The Yellow Handkerchief.
During the brief interview with Kristen Stewart on The Yellow Handkerchief red carpet in Los Angeles, Stewart revealed to Reelz Channel that The Twilight Saga Eclipse brings a different perspective to the Twilight series after New Moon, with different levels and layers of love. If you're a fan of The Twilight Saga novels, you already know what Kristen Stewart is referring to and why.
When Kristen Stewart was asked about the kissing scenes in Twilight and what it's like for her in other non Twilight Saga films, Stewart admitted that kissing depends on how she's thinking about it at the time. For Kristen Stewart, it ranges from weird to remembering that it's her job, especially when a hundred people are standing around and watching.

Robert Pattison admits he's dating Kristen Stewart
After months of speculation, Robert Pattinson has finally confirmed he is dating his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.
The actors, who have been dating since last year, were due to make their first public appearance as a couple at Sunday's Bafta Film Awards, but ended up arriving separately.
Pattinson, 23, was proudly cheering from the audience when his American girlfriend, 19, was named as the winner of the Bafta Rising Star accolade at the star-studded ceremony at the Royal Opera House.
After refusing to comment on their relationship for months, Pattinson finally broke his silence and admitted they were an item.
He told The Sun: 'It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes.
'We can't arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it's impossible. We are here together and it's a public event but it's not easy.
'We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.'
After the Baftas, the couple headed to the Grosvenor House Hotel for the after-party, where they were spotted leaving at a relatively-respectable midnight.
While Stewart attended the Elle Style Awards alone last night, Pattinson was busy working all day on his new film Bel Ami.
Romance rumours have surrounded the couple since the first Twilight movie came out in late 2008.
Their sizzling chemistry convinced 'Twi-hard' fans they were an item and was often commented on by their co-stars.
Catherine Hardwicke, who directed the first film, said: 'In terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn't happen on the first movie. Nothing crossed the line while on the first film.
'I think it took a long time for Kristen to realise, "OK, I've got to give this a go and really try to be with this person."'
Hardwicke admitted she noticed the chemistry between the pair during filming, but warned Pattinson off Stewart, because she was 17 at the time, which would make her underage in several U.S. states.
She said: 'After I cast him, I told Rob, "Don't even think about having a romance with her. She's under 18. You will be arrested."'
The couple repeatedly denied rumours of a romance and, until last Spring, Stewart was dating long-term boyfriend Michael Angarano.
Stewart and Pattinson were rumoured to have finally gotten together when they filmed the first Twilight sequel New Moon last summer.

Twilight Lovers Forced Apart?
Twilight’s New Moon lovebird’s Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been reportedly told by their management teams to cut back on spending time together for the sake of their careers.
As you know, Robert Pattinson, 23, and Kristen Stewart, 19, played love rival’s in the blockbusters Twilight and Twilight: New Moon movies and have been seen everywhere together before and after the release. The last time the two were spotted together was on the Isle of Wight on New Year’s Eve. Since then, Pattinson and Stewart’s camp’s have issued a stern warning to the couple to cut back on time spent between the two. Sources say that their management teams have banned them from being seen together until a promotional tour for their upcoming Twilight Saga titled Twilight: Eclipse in which they both will star in as well.
“Neither (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) has time to focus on anything but their work,” their camp managers allegedly stated.
Pattinson has three movies in the works including “Twilight: Eclipse” and one that is due out in theaters in April entitled “Remember Me,” while Stewart is working on some projects herself.
Will true love overcome their set back? We Will See!!

Twilight Saga : Eclipse Scoop from Peter Facinelli
Peter Facinelli spilled some details about Twilight Saga: Eclipse recently. Facinelli gave Entertainment Tonight the scoop on Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the upcoming Eclipse movie.
Peter Facinelli dished with Hollywood Life about the sex scenes in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and the fine line the producers have to walk to with the story.

We are going to see Dr. Carlisle Cullen in a new light when Eclipse rolls around. You get to see a side of Carlisle you haven’t seen before. There are some great battle sequences.
The fan base has been so phenomenal. When you go to an event, people have flown in from other countries just to take a picture with you. That is a loyal fan base that you can’t even imagine having. I am thankful for all of them. That is why I try to give back in connecting with them on Twitter.

I have a 12-year-old daughter [Luca Bella, whose mom is Jennie Garth]. She’s a fan and I’d want her not to feel left out or awkward. Hopefully it’s a PG-13 type of situation. I’m sure the producers and directors know what they want—and especially what they are doing—but I’m sure they don’t want to alienate fans.

Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive sneak peak at the new Twilight graphic novel by Stephenie Meyer. In the January 29 issue which hit newsstands on January 22, ten pages from Twilight, The Graphic Novel are shown along with a Q&A with author Stephenie Meyer.
Yet another Twilight series, you ask? Yes, the same Twilight series but with a different twist. In case you are unaware, a graphic novel is a story told through ilustrations and captions much like a comic book, yet the subject matter can range from non-fiction to fictional works.
What will be most noticeable to fans is that the characters of Bella and Edward look nothing like Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson who play Bella and Edward in the Twilight movie. Korean artist Young Kim created the images for this 224-page book.
Stephenie Meyer explains the look of the characters saying that it was important that the graphic novel be "an interpretation of the novel, rather than a cartoon version of the movie."
Kim based the graphics on the description from the characters in the original Twilight book. "The images are much closer to the characters I see in my head than any actual human being could be," Meyer explains.
Twilight, The Graphic Novel, Volume 1 will be released on March 16, with a first printing of 350,000 copies. Meyer's website states: "Due to the length of the prose novel, the book will be divided into two volumes and the release date for the second volume is forthcoming."
The graphic novel cost $19.99.

Robert Pattinson rumored as the next Spider-Man
"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson is rumoured to be next Spider-Man in the fourth installment of the web-slinging superhero franchise.
The speculation started after actor Tobey Maguire, who played the action hero and his alter-ego Peter Parker in the first three installment of the "Spider-Man" franchise, announced his departure earlier this week over reported script issues. Now Pattison is being tipped to paly the teenaged avatar of Parker as per the new script by American screenwriter James Vanderbilt, reports celebrifi.com.
Pattinson, who presently has two movies "Bel Ami" and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" in hand, is not the only potential candidate for the lead role in "Spider-Man 4". Actors Chace Crawford and Michael Cera are also in the competition for the role.

Full Twilight Saga : Eclipse Script Leaks Online
“Twilight” fans who know for a fact they can’t wait until this summer to see what happens in the upcoming installment of the franchise, “Eclipse,” now have the chance to take a look at an early but full draft of the script. According to Deadline Hollywood, the copy belonged to actor Jackson Rathbone who misplaced it and, of course, it has now surfaced online.
The moment fans heard that a copy of the “Eclipse” script was available for download, they asked themselves whether it was not a virus, as it’s been known to be the case. The aforementioned movie-oriented publication can confirm that there is no virus, and the document is genuine, though whether it’s the final version of the script could not be verified. Summit Entertainment, the movie studio behind “Twilight,” is refusing to comment on the leak.
“The Internet is in a frenzy about what is purported to be the full script of the 3rd installment of the Twilight Saga leaked as a downloadable .pdf file. It appears to belong to Jackson Rathbone who plays Jasper in the film franchise. Now I can confirm that it is an early version of the Eclipse script (not the shooting script) and it is Rathbone’s (who probably left it behind at a blood bank),” Deadline Hollywood says.
With all this, it could very well be that the leak fails to leave any marks on the commercial success of the franchise, the e-zine goes on to say. Aside from the fact that most fans have already read the third book, on which the film is based, therefore are well familiar with what will happen in the movie as well, “Twilight” is by now such a massive phenomenon that there are too few things that could bring it down. If very harsh reviews could not have a negative impact on “New Moon,” it’s easy to see why a leaked script would not even leave a figurative dent in the upcoming installment.
“Does it matter? Of course not. Like duh, the script is based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling book. Judging from New Moon’s worldwide grosses of $682M so far, I say not even this copyright infringement can stop the Twilight Saga juggernaut,” Deadline Hollywood says.
